Building Unique Purchasing Routes Based at Major Ports in Japan

We are the only listed company with marine product buying rights in 11 major fishing ports in Japan.
Buying rights give YOKOREI the right to purchase fish and other products at markets such as wholesale and seafood markets. This right enables us to procure extremely fresh food material.
Through this proprietary procurement route, we have established a system that enables us to purchase fresh food material, freeze them at our own nearby sorting spots, store them in refrigerated warehouses, and sell them both in Japan and overseas.

We hold buying rights at various ports—mainly in Tohoku and Kyushu—and purchase fish.

Overseas Network Expansion

YOKOREI has set the goal of strengthening our global strategic capabilities. Therefore, we are actively expanding overseas and we aim to supply delicious Japanese food products overseas and delicious food products from around the world to Japan. We are always working to ensure a stable supply of diverse foodstuffs all over the world.

One of YOKOREI's strengths is the procurement capabilities provided by our extensive trading network, allowing us to respond accurately to customer needs in Japan and overseas.
We are expanding our network of major suppliers overseas, including in Southeast Asia and Northern Europe, as well as North America, South America, and Australia, as we also energetically engage in trilateral trade.

Accurately Understanding the Balance of Supply and Demand in Markets

When supplying imported food products, it is important to have an accurate understanding of the balance of the variety and trade volume of products procured overseas compared to domestic demand. Catch and production volumes are affected by the natural environment, including weather, while market needs also vary according to area and season. By swiftly and accurately collecting various types of information from suppliers around the world, we are able to maintain stable supplies and appropriate prices.

Developing our Original Products by Utilizing our Procurement Capabilities

Since 2018, we have developed “Mitsubatei”, a domestic brand of farmed eel, which is sold at supermarkets and mass retailers nationwide. We have acquired part of an aquaculture farm (approximately 1 ha in area) and have entered the domestic eel farming business. This has enabled us to establish a system for the stable and sustainable production and supply of high-quality, flavorful domestic eel.

Our partner, Hofseth International, uses methods such as the thorough management of growing environments using IT and the provision of carefully selected foods to raise healthy, delicious salmon containing high-quality fat.
The salmon is freshly processed in a Norwegian factory, seasoned with only salt and sugar, and smoked. This smoked salmon is highly acclaimed for its authentic flavor, and the salmon trout's natural goodness and smokiness can be fully appreciated.
